There is nothing like a bit of exercise in the fresh air. These two boys thought they would give weightlifting a go!
Today was a very special day throughout the country. It was a celebration of Art and nature, called The Big Draw. Children throughout the school took part in many different workshops and incorporated drawing and Art into every subject throughout the day. The pictures show 5EB taking part. They created collages, painted landscapes, used different types of music to influence their drawings and created fluorescent sea creatures. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and produced some fantastic artwork.
Preparing ourselves for the next D&T project and The Big Draw, we have been experimenting with different shading techniques and looking at colour theory. The pictures show the combinations of colours used to create new colours. They also show the detailed sketching techniques which were then applied whilst sketching natural objects.
Have you ever wondered how the dragon felt when St. George attacked him? How did he feel? What was he really like?
Today, 5EB had the chance to ask these questions, when they were visited by the dragon himself!
5EB have been using their Science and Design knowledge and skills to design and create working wishing wells.
Today we had great fun creating the base for our wells, using Modroc. It was a bit messy, but the finished product will look amazing!
